I have traveled to most of the locations referenced in your January, 2022 post regarding cooler summer destinations. Further, I have lived in several of these locations. One important aspect you omitted in your post is elevation. Aspen (the town of) is at 8,000 feet absl, but if you are in Snowmass Village (close by with accommodations) you could be at 8,700 feet up to 9,000 feet absl. Ouray, Colorado is ~7,800 feet absl. Jackson (the town of) 6,200+ feet absl. Most people do not know what elevation can do to one’s physiology, both short term and long term, day hikes or residential ownership, alcohol or no imbibing. People need to understand this before just heading “up hill.” And this applies to both young and old, particularly if someone has underlying heart and or pulmonary issues. You might wish to mention this locational aspect in your next post.
